Two doctors who helped hospice agency Novus Health Services scam Medicare were sentenced to a combined 23 years in prison for health care fraud and ordered to pay more than $44 million in restitution combined. A nurse was sentenced to 33 months. A jury trial revealed that the doctors would certify that they had examined patients face-to-face when no such examinations had occurred.
