U.S. Files Claims Against Fresenius Vascular Care

A complaint alleges that Fresenius routinely performed certain procedures on patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) who were receiving dialysis without sufficient clinical indication that the patients needed the procedures. Interventions included fistulagrams and angioplasties. Read a Patch news story, which describes a patient who had 22 procedures on 11 dates in four years and says that minorities and the elderly were often targeted, and a Department of Justice press release.
