According to a superseding indictment, Anita Louise Jackson billed Medicare more than $46 million for allegedly rendering more than 1,200 incidents of “balloon sinuplasty” services to more than 700 patients. During portions of this same time period, Jackson was the top-paid provider of balloon sinuplasty services in the United States despite her practice being located outside of a major metropolitan area.
