CVS Settles Lawsuit

CVS Pharmacy Inc. resolved allegations that it improperly requested and received reimbursement from government health care programs for premature refills, dispensed more insulin pens than patients needed according to their prescriptions, and falsely under-reported the days of supply of insulin that its pharmacies dispensed. CVS agreed to pay $37.76 million. Read a Department of Justice press release.
