Celebrating Medicare Fraud Prevention Week! Medicare Fraud Prevention Week focuses on the actions everyone can take to prevent Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse. MFPW runs the week of June 5, or 6/5, because most people become eligible for Medicare when they turn 65.
MFPW is hosted by the Administration for Community Living and the Senior Medicare Patrol, known as the SMP. The SMP is a national program to educate Medicare beneficiaries about Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse.
Join St. Louis Activity Senior Center (5602 Arsenal St. – St. Louis) June 2nd from 11:30am-12:30pm to recognize examples of Medicare fraud, errors and abuse. Learn tips to protect yourself and your Medicare benefits! At 12 noon HHS-OIG Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Korby Harshaw will have a special presentation "Strengthening Medicare Integrity: Protect, Detect, Report." You don't want to miss it!
